This is one of the best times to start working with bases. Now you'll need a few things to go through this guide:
By now you must have met Araune who gives you Secret Power and a secret base on Route 111. Upon inspection you can realize there's a PC and five green mats. Boot up that PC and see your options. Those mats aren't for welcoming guests though, so don't put them in front of your entrance. I recommend at least keeping two in your base but it's all up to you. Progressing through the game will bring you encountered with many areas to pick from as a secret base. I suggest giving them all a look and writing down the ones you considered. Once you reach Fortree go to this place. The place the ring is highlighting.
- Secret Power and a Pokémon that knows it.
- A Pokémon with fly or Latias/os.
- A bike.
- Everything else will be revealed in the guide. If you've beaten the game go to the other guide.

Talk to Araune. The route leading up to this city is also one of the best places to make a secret base, Route 119.
Talking to Araune will get you started with CTF or something so do it. Behind him are two people behind a counter. They sell cool supplies and you should take a look at them. After you do take a look progress with the story until you're able to use fly. Which won't take long from the point you were at. Go to the normal walkthrough guide if you want. After gaining fly go to Slateport and the Flower shop for more beginner decorations. Then fly to your base. In OmegaRuby/AlphaSapphire a new feature allows you to fly to routes. A niffy trick is knowing where your base is relative to where you land. Most times the Routes' landing spot is decent, others might not be.
Return to your base and then decorate a bit. Now would be a good time to scan some QR codes by going to Manage QR codes in the PC menu. Making them available for tomorrow. Six of those are for sure an area you can't go to until you reach Mossdeep or Sootopolis. Continue through the story until you reach Lilycove City. The Museum and Dept. Store 5th floor will have supplies. This is all decorations available until you beat the story. Now that you're this far in the game let's talk about those QR codes you scanned. The day after you scanned them makes them available for battle, recruit, and CTF. Each base is a default set Lv. 50 to their pokemon for every Pokemon they have over that level. Your Pokemon stay the same level that they were no matter what when challenging a secret base. Now for your base I hope you still have welcome mats because something cool will happen when you ask them to be your pal. They'll appear in your base and once you day you can rechallenge them to a battle, getting some money. But even better you can have them do a special skill. These range from training to hunting to crafting.
Training members are able to increase a abse stat of a Pokemon, or their able to raise a level of a pokemon.
A hunting base member can hunt for berries or stones.
Crafting ones make items for your base. Now with your team members in check. Base in order. Go pick your team name by talking to a base member, and then pick your message. and start gaining the ranks!
A bronze rank flag enables each grunt to have two abilities. A silver has three abilities. A gold is enabled to use abilities twice a day!
This fellow trainer is your new goal. To collect the fags. Until you beat the Delta Mission. This enables more items to be bought on Saturdays on the Roof of Lilycove Dept. Store. These items can't be found ANYWHERE else so go check it out when you can. I explained some basic stuff to you so I hope you find the advanced stuff on your own. Remember to Streetpass and Scan. There's 80+ Base locations. Try and find people to, FILL 'EM ALL!
POKEMON, GOTTA FILL 'EM ALL!
Only in the new... games.
